You can use Baby Powder for your second day hair

Taking a bath everyday comes with shampooing everyday, but have you ever given a thought that everyday shampooing might be ruining your hair? Our scalp produces natural oils which also helps our hair to be less dry. If we strip those natural oils always, results are your hair dries out too. Washing your hair every other day is beneficial, it’s not like you’re not gonna wash it for 1 week.

If you work mostly indoors under air conditioned rooms or it’s the cooler season, you can do this tip. But if it’s hot and mostly humid you can skip this and just remember to condition your hair every after shampoo.

Baby powder can absorb oil so on your second day hair, you can rub some powder on your scalp and hair then style as usual. It also makes your hair smell nice. Your hair will thank you for giving it a break from shampoo.

    • You’re not going to put a lot, just enough to lessen the oiliness. But if you have sensitive scalp then I wouldn’t advise it. If you use baby powder on your face and it doesn’t irritate you, you can give it a try. Have you heard of dry shampoo? A popular brand I know is called “Batiste”. It basically works the same and also contains talc or rice/corn starch. I personally use baby powder because it has a mild scent so my hair would still smell nice. 🙂 I hope this helped. Thank you, Mavic.
