Tips to Re-energize your Body and Mind

There comes a time when we all need to re-energize. A 10 minute break can help your mind become rested and boosts your will power. A mind that is rested is more apt to stick to healthy habits. With better attention and focus you will be able to get better results from whatever you are doing.

1. Push away from your desk. Getting used to taking short breaks every few hours helps to give both your mind and body a break. This helps to fore stall stress and fatigue. Taking just a ten minute brisk walk outside can help you feel as if you’ve taken a restful nap. Remove yourself totally from your job layout and rest your mind. Then you will be more focused and refreshed when you get back to it.

2. Quit time is cut off time. Do you find yourself still checking emails after hours? Still thinking about job issues after hours? Even on vacation? This isn’t good for your mental health or your personal relationships. You need to totally cut yourself off from daily work routines and relax.

3. Take your get aways often. People who take vacations more often are healthier. They have less stress, a better outlook on life and less risk of heart disease. You are more apt to have more motivation and to reach your goals. So try to get away from it all often. The trick to it all is planning that vacation ahead of time. You can feel the effects for several weeks prior to the actual vacation. And then, when you get back, start planning the next one. Having something like this to look forward to is very beneficial.

  1. We all sometimes needs a breather and you are right we have to re-energize our body and mind to become more productive in what ever we do in our everyday life.

    • I read an organizational development research several months ago that most companies that allow their workers some time to rest and relax within the day have higher productivity ratings. People really need to unload their burdens.

  2. I love these tips Eve. I can feel the stresses at times and just detaching myself every so often can re-energize my body and mind. The issues will still be there. however, with a calmer mind and refreshed body, i can deal with them better.
