Just like you, I am also trying my very best to find great and legit ways to make money fast. I will share my experience and I tell you – I have learned an important lesson on how to make money online and believe me, it’s worth your time.

Do a lot of research. Read reviews and do not assume you already know the game. A friend of mine reminds me that in order to make money online – I need to read a lot. Read reviews. Read guidelines. Read the TOS, and read and digest everything about the program I want to spend my time or money.

Let’s talk about planning to make money on Clickbank as an affiliate.

Clickbank recently presented its whole new design. I am stunned with it. I heard about it not so long ago. Many peoples say that Clickbank is one of the best ways to make money online even if you do not have your own website. I won’t argue because it’s true. What I want to talk now is – how beginners can make money on Clickbank.

How to make money on Clickbank if you are a beginner?

Clickbank is the home for digital products sold online. You do not have to create your own products to make money on Clickbank though. You just have to promote products you will find in the marketplace. Nevertheless, making money on Clickbank as an affiliate is NOT easy. It’s hard and you cannot quit your day job right now to concentrate promoting products on Clickbank because I am sure you will starve in few days.

Making Money on Clickbank as an affiliate requires time, study and hard work.

My gut says I can successfully make money on Clickbank soon; however I should keep my current job and concentrate on it so I have the finances to stay alive. I must check my pocket first. That’s a valuable piece of advice from Eric Pangburn – the Snitch Blogger. As a beginner, we need some guidance of our fellow bloggers. We cannot just go on our own. In making money online – we cannot rush and assure ourselves right away. Generating a passive income online as an affiliate on Clickbank is like dreaming to have a luxury car. Yeah, you know what I mean.

Generating passive income online requires time, practice, and determination.

I am trying to learn the game before I’d decide to join the race or I will die out in the middle. How can beginners able to do that when at the very moment you sign up for Clickbank you want to make money right away? I am not safe because it happened to me. Right after I had joined Clickbank few months ago, I rushed to the marketplace and looked for products I can promote and I never made money. I battled without weapon – I lost it. If you are a beginner, do not follow my steps. Remember, if you want a passive income – work hard for it. Study first. Digest the ideas. Do more research. Read a lot. Focus on it. Practice more. Disregard “money”. Do not think about it – it can die you out in the middle.

Clickbank is one of the best ways to make money online as an affiliate marketer.

I have no question about that as I said earlier and so do you. Many success stories I have read online everyday just convinced me that if I will study more on how to promote products the right way, my effort would not go in vain! Writing a post about “How to Make Money on Clickbank for Beginners 2013” is a reminder to all newbies online that hard works paid off. Do not rant if you did not sweat. Many people are ranting on things they do not even work for.

How can I make money on Clickbank as an affiliate?

I am building COD as you can see, just got PageRank 3 in no time and I am working to increase my visibility on major search engines. I am studying how to do keyword research with the help of my friends online like my COD Contributors & Editors – Dima Al-Mahsiri and Jennifer Byrd. I am building my email list. I am learning every day and I won’t stop until I find the answers I want. And I am working to improve my attitude – I need to have more focus and more determination.

I will soon join the race!

It’s your turn – speak your mind!

  1. Hi Prime,
First, thanks for giving me the honor of being COD’s editor.
Second, you are right, we can’t just rush into clickbank marketplace, and choose a product randomly.
Thinking that clickbank will convert you to a millionaire in no time( as some videos on youtube shows) is not true, planning and knowledge as you mentioned is the key to success, hope all beginners listen to this precious advice.

    • Hi Dima,
      You are always welcome!
Videos like that are sometime not free and you know what, marketers are using that technique because they know most people would respond positively on making money fast online or what we called overnight success. Yet, the truth is – no one can be rich just sitting doing nothing. Success comes after hard work.
Thank you for your valuable comment.

      • Hi
I agree with you success doesnt happen over nieght Im a biggener and I really want to learn this methods can you advise me please what is the best stratigy to start genirating and how can I promote click bank products

        • The best way to do is go to the Clickbank marketplace and decide what categories of products you want to promote. Select few products and read a lot about them… you can even talk to the vendors and ask them a free copy of the products and let them know that you will help them market their products. You can present some awesome reviews you have previously written or published online to convince them to try their products for free so you can make a reliable review! I got this idea from COD Editor – Dima!

  2. One thing that few people know about Clickbank is that if you don’t make several sales closely together, lets say within a few months of each other, then you will probably find that they start reducing your balance by $5 per month.

The very first sale I ever made online was with a dropshipping program on Clickbank that I was promoting, however I never got to keep the money because I didn’t make enough sales close enough together before the monthly $5 reduction had sent my account balance back to zero again!

How cruel and unfair does that feel? You do your best to promote a Clickbank product, and by extension promote the Clickbank website itself, and the next thing you know is Clickbank start taking away your hard earned money.

Thats an important lesson for anyone that starts to get a little bit over confident with Clickbank.

(By the way I have since had a Clickbank guide with a couple of videos professionally created for me which I give away on my own website in exchange for a Tweet and a Facebook share if anyone would like it.)

    • Hi Paul. Thank you for your honest opinion and thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. I love your honestly Sir. It is sad to know that Clickbank will take back our hard earned money. As I said, I am a newbie to affiliate marketing – but I want to explore it and my target is Clickbank.

I want to explore beyond PPC. But I know it would take me longer – maybe longer than I expected. Although I am confident with Clickbank, I won’t let it take away with me my other activities where I can make money immediately. Thank you for the offer Paul, I have visited your site already and I will check it again for that guide!

  3. Hi Prime,

It’s great to be a contributor here. Thank you for the privilege.

I missed this post before but it’s spot on the point I’m making in my last post. Through experience you will gain critical insights and skills about what works and how best to succeed with Clickbank and anything else online. The average person signing up for a Clickbank account and adding their affiliate link on Craigslist, a classified ad site or on their blog, which is what many make money programs instruct to do, is only a teaser and will never accomplish any real results.

We’ve all seen the screenshots with rows of Clickbank sales marketers claim they make when they’re peddling their products. Whether they’re all for real or not, the fact is there is much strategy involved in consistently making sales with Clickbank. Experience is getting behind the scenes, seeing a different perspective and learning the working strategies which you can then apply for yourself. Then it will seem simple and you’ll probably laugh or be embarrassed at your previous paltry attempts. It’s the difference that experience makes… like night and day.

  4. Thanks for sharing this useful info. It is really mind blowing service. I will come back again surely for reading more post. But now I am bookmarking your site.

  5. I’m both a Clickbank vendor and a long-time affiliate. Hopefully I can share a few good tips.

Choose your niche carefully. Ideally you want a niche where there is some powerful, emotion-driven need. That’s why the make money niche has always been good, though I personally would never promote MMO products on Clickbank due to the easy refund policy. Your niche should have at least 3 to 5 good products in it so you can offer a choice to your prospects. It also means that the niche has been tested already for profitability.

Don’t fall in love with “gravity”! Gravity is nothing more than social proof. If gravity is really high, good luck trying to beat more experienced competition!

Check your analytics in your account periodically. Can you believe I went around 3 years before I discovered it? I was immediately able to see where I was getting traffic from and what was converting for me. Swapped one offer for another and instantly started making more money.

Many experienced marketers will say “the money is in the list”. If you’re just starting out, don’t start a list yet. It’s yet another complication that you don’t need right now. A list is not some kind of magic dust, it is merely a conversion-increasing tool. But if done wrong, it can actually worsen your conversion. So ignore it when starting out and don’t sweat it.

    Hope this helps.

    • Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for this awesome tips! I do treasure it here! This definitely adds the value of my content. This advice is well-taken… you know, somehow I tried to focus on “gravity”… and right now I realized that you are right, you have tested it! I don’t want to exhaust my energy competing the experts in the industry, it won’t do good for me. Anyways, am trying to build my list right now but am not really promoting products into it. It’s just a way to inform people, I want to befriend my subscribers first.

Anyways, we are starting with my a blog partner an affiliate niche site and it will be live soon, I guess you can help us with that. Talk to you more soon, Chris.

      • Hey Prime,
That’s great that you are concentrating on just building up trust with your list. It’s so important. So many people ruin their lists by selling too hard.
Will be cool to see what you do with your next project. If you need another opinion, feel free to contact me.

        • Hi Chris,

Yeah, I am not selling anything yet. Sometimes, I send a letter about my new blog post and that’s it. I want to talk to my list as if they are my friends, not prospects. And I am sure you can really help us. Soon I will email you our new blog once it’s live, it’s about beauty products on Clickbank… what do you think about combining Adsense and Affiliate Marketing or other monetization programs? Or, what can we do with our blog aside from Affiliate Marketing?

  6. ClickBank can be a great place to get started with it’s huge product marketplace and great advanced search engine, however you also have to be aware of their somewhat restrictive payout system, but makes it tough upfront. They require 5 sales, from 2 different payout methods (visa, mc, paypal, etc.) before you will qualify for payout, in addition to the dormant account fees which kick in 90 days after a sale. Fortunately, there are creative ways to lessen the blow, but it’s just something to be aware of and plan for ahead of time and then you can put it behind you and get back to promoting products for $$! Thanks for sharing.

    • Thank you for sharing that information Chris. Yeah, I will gonna kick-start promoting product on clickbank after I am totally from my day job!!! And the good thing, I successfully passed my resignation letter and I’ll be working full time online.

  7. Thank you for your useful share above about the features and outlook of click bank and how we can make use of click bank in the future. I totally agree that there are many poor quality products on Clickbank. However, if we are serious about making money with CB, we can still get the opportunity by applying some useful tricks as what you mentioned in this writing. Thanks again.

    • Thank you for your input Tony, well, I am getting ready to kick-start marketing products on CB next approaching year and I am excited about that! Anyways, I’ll accept your request on genesis tweaks by Jan. 2014 if you can wait, not that long from now as I am working full time online.

  8. I dint have a website and looking to get involved with Clickbank, I don’t know much about it, I have never done anything like it before. I can’t find anything that helps someone like me. I am willing to put in the work but I also don’t know and can’t find much about how someone like me can get started. Any info and insight would help me to be an affiliate.

    Thank you Ryan
