In almost any new endeavors, we are asked to make an introduction, a little bit about ourselves. This is applicable in school, at work, or even in writing sites like D2D. Since this is my first tip, I thought, well might as well make a tip on making a creative introduction, right?
Tip 1: Don’t stick to enumerating the usual facts about yourself
Many usually state their name, age, sex, marital status etc. But if people wanted to know just that, they would have just checked your resume or biodata, right? That is just boring. Think of something personal, something that is close to you that will make people relate to you.
For example: I’m g2narat and I spend too much time on the internet. I’m earning while doing it though, so that makes me feel a little less guilty about it. Hahaha.
Tip 2: Think of something that will make you stand out
You might think that you’re boring and that no one wants to hear about you, hence choose to take the safe road of just stating boring facts about yourself. Well, you couldn’t be more wrong about that. Everyone has a special talent, a funny quirk, an unusual experience. You can even share an embarrassing experience.
For example: Hello! This is g2narat and I am someone that talks in my sleep. I also move a lot in my sleep so I usually need a huge bed just to make sure I won’t fall while sleeping.
Tip 3: If you have to state something common, try to word it in an unusual way
Okay, this one is a last resort. So you’ve tried to think of something unique, something special. For some weird reason (most probably nervousness), you just can’t think of one. Well, don’t worry. You can always think of creative ways of describing your age, gender, marital status or where you live.
For example: G2narat is a quirky woman who comes from the land of Manny Pacquiao fanatics. She’s a rice-eating lady who is old enough to know herself but still young enough to not remember the silly 80’s trends.
There you go! Three tips on how to make a creative introduction and at the same time, you got to learn a little bit about me too, since all of my examples were based on little old me hehehe. 😉
