I love reading books ever since I was a young child. My mom influenced me and encouraged me to be interested with books. When I was a kid, my mom gave me a journal. That journal was where I wrote down all the books I have read. I wrote down the title of the book, the main characters, the setting, and vocabulary. My favorite part was writing down new words, defining them, and creating my own sentence using the new word that I have learned from the book that I have read.
But since I was a child back then, I easily got tired of reading. There was a time that I was able to finish a book after a month or two. I lacked interest. I want to play than read a book.
Fast forward to present, I still love reading books because for me it is relaxing and at the same time, I get to learn a lot of things even if I am reading a fictitious novel. It enhances my mind to be imaginative and creative. It broadens my vocabulary words. I feel that I get smarter every time I read a book.
My question now is would you buy the real book or just download it from different online sites? What if the price is just the same with the traditional book? What if the traditional book is cheaper than the e-book?
For you to be able to decide what type of book you want to get, make a PROs and CONs List. That is what I usually do when I get confused with something.
The “PRO” of getting an e-book instead of a real book is some of them are free. Yep that’s right. Before when E-book was not that as popular as now, my friend bought a Kindle. She would go online, buy it using her credit card, and buy it under her friend’s name who is living in the States. She told me that she cannot purchase an e-book directly to our country so she has to course it through her friend that stays in the U.S. But now, you can download them almost anywhere and everywhere for FREE!
Another PRO would be its accessibility. If you are the type of person who brings his or her gadget all the time, you can read it anywhere without that bulky feeling inside your bag. You will not get worried if the pages will be folded or the cover of the book might get ruined inside your bag.
PRO of downloading e-book instead of buying the real book is space. You do not need to buy or build a shelf where you can put your books. Instead, store it in your iPad. If you are done reading it, you can just simply delete it and download a new one.
I like reading but I am not the type of person who would go to a bookstore and get one copy for myself. Unless he is one of my favorite authors and there will be a Book Signing, definitely I will buy one or two (the other one is for display).
