Taking a twenty-minute walk on a daily basis improves blood circulation. The better your circulation the more nourishment that goes to your brain. A nourished brain functions better. Walking also helps oxygenate the brain. Nourishment and oxygen are very important for memory.

The healthier the brain the better it functions. Walking helps improve the health of the brain therefore improving memory function. Walking is also good for you overall health.

Get Enough Sleep
Getting enough sleep is very important for many things. When we do not get enough sleep, we cannot function at our best. Lack of sleep affects the brain’s processing speed. This slows our memory and recall abilities. You need plenty of sleep to recharge your brain and keep it sharp.

Master a New Skill
Learning something new challenges your brain to work better. Learning something new stimulates the different part of the brain. Learning a new skill improves all around brain function and cell activity. This helps to improve one’s memory.

Play Brain Games
These games were made to help improve memory and other functions of the brain. They improve your cognitive skills. Research shows that playing brain games for 20 minutes a day helps improve memory in both children and adults.

Stop Multitasking
Trying to do too many things at once, means we are not giving the right amount of attention to our tasks. When we try to do more than one thing at a time, we tend to make mistakes and forget important details. It is much hard to remember multiple details than it is to remember just a few.
Many do not think, it is true but multitasking actually brings down productivity. You are less likely to remember the important details of your work, when you multi-task.

  1. I sometimes complain that I get too tired doing a lot of things but I still prefer having my time occupied than to be sitting in a corner. I don’t want t lose my memory. I am afraid to have dementia, really.

    • I think, if one keeps their mind active and does not over consume sugar. because I have read sugar kills brain cells, I am not to sure about it through. I have to do more research. If, you eat healthy your chance of developing are lessened

  2. I think I can manage all that but the stop multitasking. I thought that helps exercise your brain

    • Multitasking, is a lack of focus for all the tasks that you are doing. I actually, though it helped myself until, I read up on it a n medical magazine. I think, it spreading yourself line.
