Well I guess the things I have been doing to lessen my electricity consumption has been working. It is a big relief so far only a small amount has been deducted but I hope it will go lower still. But it has just been one month of testing if what I am doing is working. So far so good.
I turned off the big transformer for 110v appliances. I changed the 110v appliances to 220v. Then I lowered the voltage of the light bulbs and use the light saving bulbs LED. I also bought plug adapters for appliances with power that stays on like the refrigerator, water dispenser, TV and Cable router. I would switch them off at night and turn on in the morning. Even if it is just saving a minimal amount daily when added at the end, you are saving a bigger amount. we have had that transformer for so many years 37 or more because we had a lot of appliances before that were 110v. But now there is not much so I turned it off.
I also check every 3-4 days the counter and see how much kw is being used. I try to keep it between 18-24 a day. My brothers said that is about right. Whenever I check and see that it is 20-21 I am happy but lately I had to use the vacuum and electric water pump.
But in the long run I am saving and I am happy. Just minimal use of electrical appliances and turning off appliances that are not being use. Lessen the use of the refrigerator. I also turn off the hot water on the water dispenser. Little things like these can help a lot.
I hope next bill will be lower. So I am saving money. I will update my next month bill if it still went down, I am paying 9-12k a month before. 🙂
